Life Hack, leaky bin bag?

 There's nothing worse than having to take the bin bag out to find it dripping some smelly liquid from the bottom. Two years ago I'd had enough of this as no matter how careful I was about what went in the bin there were always some drips. One day whilst shopping in Poundland, Home Bargains or a similar shop I had an idea and picked up a bag of the cheapest cat litter I could find. The one I got was eco-friendly woodchip pellets. Each time I put a new bin bag in place the first thing I do is add roughly two handfuls of cat litter. Two years on I have never had a leaky bag again and still have around a quarter of the cat litter left.
