About Recipes

 Just thought I'd share my thoughts on recipes. I read them on a daily basis, like most people read a short novel or newspaper article, and always gleam something interesting from them. Occasionally it may be a technique, some unusual ingredient pairing or just something which sounds tasty. Rarely will I follow recipes to the letter, after thirty-odd years around food, unless it's baking or patisserie which at least the first try I will follow with dedication.

Equally, if I post a recipe, it's not set in stone and should be followed with a pinch of common sense and a dash of your own personal taste. Remember it's very difficult to make an awful dish as long as you taste whilst carrying out each step.
