DIY Pesticide, Fungicide & Tonic (Mineral boost)
These are the sprays I make up each season in the garden, cheap, easy to make and very effective.
Pesticide and Rabbit deterrent
1 large clove of garlic crushed
1 lvl tsp chilli powder
1 tsp vegetable or olive oil
1-2 drops washing up liquid
1 lt water
Mix all ingredients in a jar or container and keep in the kitchen or a warm place. Stir or shake daily for 5-7 days. Filter through fine muslin or cheesecloth ( I use J-Cloths) into a suitable sprayer. Use to kill pests like greenflies and other problem insects. It can also be sprayed along fence lines to deter Rabbits.
*Please keep in mind this will also harm beneficial insects like bees so spray with caution, early morning or late evening least likely time to encounter bees.
**Some have issues with this as a rabbit deterrent as it irritates their noses but keep in mind chilli up your nose is irritating but not permanent, whilst the damage rabbits do is.
