Pears & Patience

Just over two years ago I had harsh words with my 3yr old Pear tree threatening to compost it if nothing happened soon. Well, last year it finally produced 5 small pears, a bit hard but good flavour. 

This year has been really good, producing 18 large pears. Full of flavour that I've not tasted in a long time and really sweet. Looks like year eight was its time to shine.

So anyone out there trying to grow Pears, have a little patience, and the odd threat won't go amiss, all will be good in the end.
